Women’s Shoes Are a Great Gift; Tips On Picking The Best Shoes for your
Monday, December 5th, 2011In terms of gifts, one of the hardest things you can attempt to buy for your partner is a pair of shoes.
As we all know, women love their shoes, and will almost always have a very clear view of what they want, both in terms of style and fit.
But if you really do want to surprise her the next time you buy her a present, here’s a little advice that will help you avoid the common mistakes men make when buying women’s shoes.
The most important thing, naturally, is getting the size right. Nothing will spoil the occasion more than your partner realising you don’t even know her shoe size!
Just as important as the shoe size is the width of her shoes – buying a pair that fit too tightly across the bridges of her feet will quickly ensure she never wants to wear them again.
Consider the type of shoe and the height, if any, of the heel. Does your partner prefer high heels or pumps? Remember, high heels can be uncomfortable for some ladies, so it might be better to go for a flat or mid heel.
Style-wise, study the shoes she already owns. Pay attention to not just the colours but the styling details and any embellishments they might have. You could even ask one of her best friends to browse the internet with you and offer her advice and opinion.
Brands like Clarks and Hush Puppies sell a wide variety of women’s shoes, in an extensive selection of styles.
From leather to man-made materials, dainty ballet pumps to knee boots, it’s easy to find the footwear that your wife or girlfriend will love to wear.
And if you’re buying women’s shoes as a Christmas present, you could always try and find a pair of boots with a flat, flexible sole and soft, sumptuous lining, like fur or faux shearling.
The great thing about these boots is the fact that they’re very cosy and snug (almost a cross between shoes and slippers) so when your partner slips her feet into them they’ll be as indulgent and rich as a box of chocolates… except the boots will last longer!
Better yet, they’re the ideal footwear for colder weather – just perfect for those romantic winter strolls you’ll be taking together.
You too can receive the star attention
Tuesday, September 29th, 2009The Jacob replica is a fine watch; it really is. This timepiece originally produced by Jacob & Co is now becoming the most recognisable watch in the world. This is not because we are all getting to wear one; no way. The reason the Jacob is so well known is that all our favourite celebrities adore this watch and never miss a chance to demonstrate their devotion by displaying it in public. Look at any glossy magazine or big entertainment awards and you will see the celebs showing off their Jacob. What you may not realise is that you can do more than just watch from the sidelines; you too can join in on the Jacob phenomena.

People are going to find this hard to believe, but it really is possible to obtain this show-stopping watch at a reasonable price. The Jacob replica watch is a faithful reproduction of the original with no corners cut in its production. Just wearing a Jacob replica will allow you to enjoy the red-carpet experience; that sense of being watched and admired by all around. What to wear for the beach
Thursday, June 25th, 2009Fortunately fashion for the beach is more on how to be comfortable than simply wearing the latest outfit and it really doesn’t change that much from year to year as there are not that many items that you wear to the beach that can be changed an so much. Of course you have always had the choice of choosing a swimsuit, or a bikini and now in the last couple of years the monokini as well and then within that choice you have a whole spectrum of colours and designs to suit you, but other than that your basic item is this.

Now what you wear on top of your bathing attire does seem to change a bit more. In the past years the ‘pareo’, the large piece of coloured or flowered cotton that you tie round your waist like a tropical islander, was and still is very popular. You wear it with a tight t shirt or top and this apparel looks good accompanied by a large raffia beach bag where you carry your towel and other necessities and a straw sun hat. (more…)
What are the most flattering colours
Monday, June 22nd, 2009Have you ever felt that some days you put on an item in your wardrobe and you don’t feel right for the rest of the day and at other times you put something else on and you feel great?
Well it’s probably due to the colour. We all have different skin tones, independent to whether we are black, white, yellow or tanned, and this all makes a difference on how our clothes look on us and the glow that they give to our face.

We can divide our skin tones into the four seasons of the year being winter, spring, summer and autumn and depending on our skin tone, the colour of our eyes and our hair is what will denote into what category we fall into.
You can find out to what season you belong by holding up different coloured scarves up to your face and you will soon realize that certain colours make your skin come alive and others will have a dulling effect on it.

Swimwear for Summer 2009
Friday, June 19th, 2009Swimwear for Summer 2009
This summer a lot of women will continue to think about buying themselves a monokini where the top and the bottom of a bikini are linked or seen from another angle where a bathing suit has had the back and midriff area cut away.
This piece of swimwear is quite flattering for women and for anyone who feels that they are maybe a bit past wearing a bikini but don’t want to cover themselves up completely yet with a swimsuit. You could call it the half way mark between bikini and swimsuit. At the same time it is also a great invention, for avoiding those embarrassing moments, while swimming or diving into water, which quite often occurred with the traditional bikini!
As with all fashion, everything is linked and as this year a lot of dresses and shirts have been designed with that ‘cut away’ or ‘off the shoulder’ look so do these trends influence on what we wear to the beach or the pool and the monokini falls into the ‘cut away’ trend.

Shoes for Summer 2009
Tuesday, June 16th, 2009This year we have quite a few different styles of shoe to choose from, as is usually the case, as there are a whole lot of different women out there all with their unique tastes and needs.
I shall start off by saying that probably the trendiest foot wear on offer at the moment, and the one that seems to be appealing mostly to the young, is the summer boot, either with a heel so high that it could easily give you vertigo or the other extreme which is a completely flat heel. These boots reach just above the ankle and some go half way up the calf but the whole boot is made up of straps with buckles so that you get good ventilation!
Still continuing on from the last couple of years, as it has been such a popular shoe being so very flattering for most women’s feet, is the peep-toe. This summer you can find them in bright and vivid colours and again there are some with very high heels and others with low heels.
